Watch How People React To Being Called Beautiful

Watch How People React To Being Called Beautiful

nameNew social experiments are thought up and acted on every day around the world.  Though some tend to poke fun and others want to test our humanity, there seems to be more and more surfacing that offer some heartwarming inspirational results.  Shea Glover, an 18-year-old high school student out of Chicago, Illinois, has conducted a recent experiment that shows the beauty of kind words.
Shea took to the streets with her camera and stopped random people and had them pose for her.  Once she had them one camera, she would tell them, “I’m taking pictures of things I find beautiful.”  The results she received shows just how a single compliment can have a large affect on our state of being.

On her YouTube channel, Shea stated what her true ...

What is the meaning of life?

The True Meaning Of Life – Explained By 3rd Graders

What is the meaning of life? This is one of the most asked questions. At a very young age I began to ponder this very question and not too long ago I connected variables that allowed me to find it. Just as I, many claim to have found the true definition regarding what the meaning of life is.

Some people even come to grow in their career paths with intentions to search for the answer. I strongly believe that everyone has their own claim. And I also strongly believe that the answers vary for everyone as each and one of us have different ideologies.

Out of all of the answers that I have come across, this specific video of third graders has caught my attention most. Even though many don’t believe that children are smart...

8 Steps For Dealing With The Impossible People In Your Life

Finally! A practical way to keep from losing control with out-of-control friends, bosses and family members.  From the author of Talking to Crazy. Mark Goulston, MD

Confrontations with irrational people typically follow a predictable script. Unfortunately, it’s a bad script. Here’s how it goes: You decide that it’s time to confront the person. You gather your courage. And you start talking. But a few words into the conversation, the person starts seething silently or tossing grenades like these:

  • “Maybe I’ll just kill myself and make you happy.”
  • “I know you’ve always hated me. Thanks for proving it.”
  • “F#@& you.”
  • “You’re wrong.”
  • “You’ve always disappointed me.”
  • “I never want to see you again.”

Sometimes You Need a Dog to Remind You What It Is to Be Human

to Be Human1My stepmother died August 1, 2012. I returned to Florida for the interment of her ashes October 19, and my 84-year-old father announced he wanted to get married again.

I gently suggested he wait and try to get his sea legs back under him — not make consequential decisions from the standpoint of lack.

“God damn it, Scotty, I want a woman on my arm!” For some reason, at that moment I thought of a watch.

I suggested we start with a dog. He’d been talking about getting one, and had actually been going to his local Petco, unaware the only reason animals are there at all is to sell pet food.

“A dog’s a big responsibility.”

A spouse apparently paled in comparison. We tabled the marriage and dog discussions for the moment, and laid Joan to rest. I flew home.

I returned for Christmas a few mo...

Best April Fool’s jokes – Helium beer

winemsn1Good news for anyone that prefers Cabernet over cardio. Drinking two glasses of wine before bed could actually be the magic pill that helps you lose weight, according to two recent studies from Washington State University and Harvard Medical School.

Here’s why: Apparently, there’s a polyphenol called resveratrol in red wine that transforms “white fat” into “beige fat” (aka a version that’s much easier to burn off), says researchers at WSU. Even crazier, the Harvard study, which looked at 20,000 women over the course of 13 years, determined that those who drank two glasses of wine daily were 70 percent less likely to be overweight. Whoa.

OK, so what’s the significance of night wine, you ask? Yet another study foun...

Reunited at last

Reunited at last!

Tansy Aspinall has lived an interesting life. As a child, she helped her family rehabilitate captive gorillas before releasing them into the wild in West Africa. Although she grew up around gorillas, it had been 12 years since Tansy had seen Djalta and Bimms, two gorillas that she had an especially close bond with.

But when Tansy went with her father on a recent trip back to West Africa, she made a discovery that she’ll never forget.

A woman gets on a bus with her baby. The bus driver says: ”Ugh, that’s the ugliest baby I’ve ever seen!” The woman walks to the rear of the bus and sits down, fuming. She says to a man next to her: ”The driver just insulted me!” The man says: ”You go up there and tell him off. Go on, I’ll hold your monkey for you.”

A young blonde woma...
